StringDancer is presented by Jeff Foster - musician, composer, music instructor, producer, writer, guitar tech, raconteur and freelance webmaster.
Based in the famous artist colony of Brown County, Indiana, Jeff performs regularly as a band member and solo guitarist throughout the South-Central Indiana area, including Nashville, Bloomington, Columbus, Indianapolis and points beyond.
Musically, Jeff is busiest these days as half of the musical duo Foster Jones with partner-in-crime Frank Jones. Usually working as a duo, they have been known to put together larger ensembles of up to 11 players for special concert events.
Jeff’s life in Brown County also includes his work as producer and webmaster of the Brown County Hour, broadcasting on WFHB Community Radio, Bloomington IN.
As an instructor, Jeff teaches guitar, banjo and bass in his private facility in downtown Nashville, Brown County Music Studio, and also as an Adjunct Faculty member for Ivy Tech Community College-Bloomington.
StringDancer.com began as an online guitar community back in 2000, going through several changes in format over the years, and went offline in 2012. However, Jeff’s numerous guitar-related articles and other writings will resurface soon as a blog.
