Every Monday night at The Players Pub, you can walk in and see 4 songwriters sitting side by side, sharing their songs & the stories behind them. STELLA & JANE along with Dave McConnel (from the Lopers) and Mark Haggarty (from Fire) championed the effort to bring a 'Nashville-style' writers night back home to Bloomington. With some hailing from as far away as Toronto, DIFFERENT WRITERS are featured every week from 8-10pm. There is never a cover charge for this show. For more information, check out their MySpace page.

Stella & Jane with Jeff Foster disbanded in late 2009... however, their 2008 CD, On With The Show! is still available! Produced by Dave Weber at Airtime Studio, with a bevy of guest musicians along for the ride, the 12-song set is full of what S&J fans came to expect -- soaring lead and harmony vocals by mandolinist Bobbie Jane Lancaster and guitarist Stella Suzette Weakley, and great in-the-pocket instrumental work by Jeff Foster on guitars, guitar synth, banjo and bass.

Well, actually, there were no ashes. S&J called it quits quite amicably.

That said... as Bobbie Jane Lancaster moved on to other projects, Stella and Jeff re-teamed with former S&J singer/violinist/guitarist Andrea White Augustine to form a new acoustic trio called Lazy Saints. If you loved Stella & Jane with Jeff Foster, give the new band a listen... you might just find you love Lazy Saints just as well!
