StringDancer Recording Studio

Specializing in solo and small band projects

Do you have an original tune you’d like to record for posterity?

Are you a solo act or small band that would like to record your own CD?

High-priced studio time got you down?

Let StringDancer Recording Studio do the job!

The StringDancer Studio specializes in small demo or CD album projects, using a pro-grade Macintosh-based all-digital recording environment, high-end microphones, and a wide range of quality digital effects. We can capture your best performances quickly and easily, creating a great-sounding product you’ll be proud to offer your audience... all at a fraction of the cost of larger studios.

StringDancer is a home-studio with no additional overhead for physical space, so we can comfortably book most projects at your convenience at a flat rate rather than per hour. This means you are afforded the freedom of NOT having to watch the clock. You can take your time and get it right!

In 2011, the studio was upgraded to include two isolated sound rooms, so mic’d voices or instruments will enjoy full sonic separation from the control room.

StringDancer Recording Studio is owned and operated by Bloomington-area multi-instrumentalist Jeff Foster, a respected professional musician for over 40 years, with decades of recording and producing experience. Jeff will work with you to achieve the sound you want, and is also available to add guitar, bass, banjo, mandolin, percussion, or a broad range of synthesizer sounds and sequencing utilizing the latest MIDI-guitar technology.
