Happy Day Of Rest! — By now you’ve probably seen one (if not several) AI depictions of Jesus of Nazareth, taking the very moment of His resurrection as captured by the Shroud of Turin as the model. Here’s a couple of the best I’ve seen to date (and it’s just getting started).
The first one is arguably the most popular one so far, IMHO mostly because the AI animation shows Him smiling in a few scenes, and also raising His eyes and hands to Heaven in a prayerful fashion.
Now regarding “Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image” (the 2nd of the Ten Commandments) — I think it can be reasonably argued that these depictions and animations would not qualify as “graven” in the sense that they are taken by AI directly from the Shroud itself, now considered to be the authentic burial cloth of Jesus of Nazareth, and thus not man-made. I’ll roll with that determination unless (or until) I can be convinced otherwise.
