Rick launched his YouTube channel in 2015. His first video featured his son, Dylan, who was able to pick notes in complex chords with ease. The video went viral, which sparked Rick to grow his channel from there. His videos cover music technique (guitar and piano), producing, music theory, instrument tutorials, pitch education and many other music-related topics. A popular series on his channel is What Makes This Song Great, where he breaks down the essence of songs we all know and love.
His channel has also featured interviews with many famous musicians. In 2019, just 4 years after publishing his first video, Rick received YouTube’s Golden Play Button award for reaching 1 million subscribers. Off the back of his online success, Rick has published The Beato Book and has a line of merchandise which he sells from his website.
