“Since The Creation Of The World” – another Foster/AI collab

Lyrics
Adapted from the First Book of Romans, chapter 1, verses 19-23

[verse] The wrath of God is revealed to us from heaven.
The ungodliness of men suppresses God’s truth.
What may be known of God is manifest in the unrighteous,
for the Lord has shown it to them.

[chorus] For since the creation of the world
His invisible ways are clearly seen.
Understood by the things that He made, yes even His eternal power.

[bridge] So that they are all without excuse.
Although they knew God, they did not glorify Him.
Nor were thankful, they became futile in their thoughts,
and their foolish hearts were darkened.

[verse] Professing to be wise, they became fools,
and changed the glory of the Holy Father into a darkened image .

My morning — I’m no longer the night-owl I used to be back when I was a full-time musician. My go-to wise-ass remark back then was, “I love the sunrise… it’s the perfect way to end the day”.

In recent years my circadian rhythm has shifted to be more in sync with Rhonda, who as long as I’ve known her gets up in the middle of the night to prepare for a long day at work.

So at 3am this morning I was up, coffee in-hand and reading a little from the Bible.  I often find that reading random scripture isn’t so random, after all. As I surrender to being led, the verses before me will somehow resonate with my thinking on any particular day, and today was no different. My thinking may be random, but the Lord isn’t at all.

I was reading Romans 1, chapter 1, verses 19-23 (NKJV):

20For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and [g]Godhead, so that they are without excuse, 21because, although they knew God, they did not glorify Him as God, nor were thankful, but became futile in their thoughts, and their foolish hearts were darkened. 22Professing to be wise, they became fools, 23and changed the glory of the incorruptible God into an image made like [h]corruptible man—and birds and four-footed animals and creeping things.

So wondering what Suno might come up with in response to my adaptation of the verses, I kept plugging away at it, tweaking the”lyrics” to hopefully prompt the AI music-bot to come up with something interesting.

I’ll let you decide how successful I was.
