I’m reliving a fond old memory today. Here’s a photo of a very cool cruise ship I had the pleasure of playing music aboard back in the winter of 1998. Serendipitously christened the Spirit of 98, she is a replica of an old-fashioned steamer of that era. She appears in the last few minutes of the Kevin Costner movie “Wyatt Earp” (watch on Netflix), from which this photo was taken. I spent the last few hours today enjoying one of the better modern western movies ever made, culminating in this blast from the past.
My cabin was on the aft, port side of the 3rd deck.
